I am a firm believer in reading self improvement books. In fact, they are my favorite thing to read! Now, you don't have to go as extreme as I did, just pick something that interests you. Whether its fashion, marriage, family, or like my book, your bedroom life, find a good one and dig in!
You don't necessarily have to buy it either. The library is a treasure trove of great self improvement books.
Reading books opens doors to lots of other things you can do to rejuvenate your life Life doesn't have to be boring, so don't let it!
If you still need some ideas, here is my Pinterest board with my a few of my planned reading- The Library
What book did you decide to read? Please share.
Like a casserole, life is a little bit of everything, all the left-overs; thrown into a pan, baked at high heat and served up for dinner. This blog looks deeply into my life. Get to know me, as I get to know myself.

30 Before 30: 7 & 8
7. Throw a dinner party.
Yes, I believe throwing a proper dinner party is a mark of adulthood. I don't mean a pizza party for adults either! I mean, full out, Martha style, with a theme party! I'm guilty of looking longingly at the rows of home and ladies' magazines, wishing I was THAT woman. I dream of the perfectly decorated home and the lovely chicken and carrots roasting in my oven. That being said, if you have a pile of these magazines sitting around, I'll be glad to give them a good home.8. Finish writing my book.
I'm ashamed to admit that I have a half finished romance novel waiting for completion. I can never seem to just sit down and get it done. However, I think its fair to say that if I don't complete it by 30, I'm on the verge of ridiculous. It would be even better if I could get it published by 30!Life Update
Remember when I said I need a dentist before 30? I have one now! After breaking a molar, I was quick to have it taken care of. I had little option than to have it pulled out. This in itself has brought me to a small crisis of self. If I am anything like my mother, I am on a sad track to lose more at a young age. I don't think I was mentally prepared for mix caused by emotions and pain.

Book Review: How Do You Tuck In A Superhero?
Over my vacation I read How Do You Tuck in a Superhero?
by Rachel Balducci. My expectations were
completely opposite from what I got, but that ended up being a GOOD thing. I
went into the book expecting a true “self help” style book. What I got was real
life stories that gave me a true look into the life of raising boys.
Her stories were honest and real. Many made me laugh out
loud, while others brought me to tears. It is a very enjoyable read. She uses a
dose of humor to share what the crazy life of raising five boys is like. One of my favorite things is the small quotes
she includes throughout the book from her boys. You really feel like you are
getting to know her and her family.
If you are raising (raised) boys of your own, you will
relate and enjoy her book. It gave me some insight of what my boys may be like
as they grow. I find this especially helpful since my oldest is only two. I
look forward to finding and reading more books from Rachel!
