Like a casserole, life is a little bit of everything, all the left-overs; thrown into a pan, baked at high heat and served up for dinner. This blog looks deeply into my life. Get to know me, as I get to know myself.

Just so Classic: Shoes
Probably one of my favorite of accessories; shoes can make or break an outfit. Above I covered a few shoes I consider to be modern basics. I find that having a black and brown or nude pair of almost every type of shoe seems to cover most wardrobe choices. They only places this varies is the classic red heal and sandals. Sandals are one of those things you can go a bit crazy with or stay as simple as you like. They are usually affordable and can be replaced yearly so its fine to wear whatever fits your personality. The same goes for sneakers/tennis shoes. I prefer a simple design but color doesn't need to be avoided!
Some ladies avoid heels altogether, and that is perfectly acceptable too. As long as you have option for work and formal wear!
Do you have any styles you feel are classic that I missed?

Just so Classic: Sun Covers
In the last post we spoke about the most classic accessory of them all, pearls. Now, we are going to keep with the accessory theme and talk about sun covers. This includes hats and sunglasses but its not that limited. It can also include head scarves and umbrellas. I included just a few of my favorite classic sun covers, however fedora hats can be just as classic!
There is always an aspect of personality that should come out in every outfit. This is true for every woman, especially a classic woman in this modern world. Accessories are my favorite way to add a flare and uniqueness to my wardrobe.

Reinstating Church Hats
For those of you have been reading my blog long enough, you know that I have a little problem when I decide that something that it is out of fashion should return. I go a tad bit overboard and buy a few (or 50) of whatever fashion do-dad I am crushing on at the moment. I have a new one! The wonderful, classic, elegant....
Church Hat!
Please tell me I am not too young or too white to start wearing them. All I can say is that if I am, I'm sorry because I am doing it. At this point there is very little anyone can do to stop me. I already own a few. This comes from years of plays and collecting, which I am no so thankful for.
At times I get sad that some of the most lovely fashions of the female world fade away. Beautiful hats, delicate handkerchiefs, white gloves all have such wonderful appeal to me. Add to this list the lost love for well made costume jewelry... Im dying!
So, here is my new goal- Every Sunday that I am not working in the back with the kiddos at my church, I am wearing a church hat. I want to bring back this beautiful tradition. I wont lie, I'd like to go back to a day where you wore one every day when you went our, but that may be a bit too much for this modern world we live in!
The pictures on this post is my collection of hats. Now I am working on my collection of hat pins to go with it.
